Yesterday Samsung announced the all new Samsung Galaxy S8. This is an update to S series flagships after S7. S7 and S7 edge received a huge hit due to its amazing camera and curved display. Samsung continued this while playing a safer side keeping the same camera sensor with improved software optimization and all new features.

The most attracting factor is infinity display. Which covers around 80% of display curved on both sides with ultra thin bezels. This is the Most beautiful phone on the planet. While keeping all the loved features of S7 like water resistant, wireless charging and the legendary headphone jack. USB C with fast charging combined with all new Samsung Dex. Dex makes your phone in desktop like experience with dedicated mouse and keyboard.

Some no-need features includes Bixby. Bixby is samsung own personal assistant just like Google assistant. S8 even has a dedicated bixby button to wake Bixby Up. Some con includes no hardware buttons due to infinity display and fingerprint reader on awkward position near the camera. While there is beast amount of hardware with safer low power battery that doesn’t explode.

S8 comes in 2 variants. The S8 with 5.8 inch display and with smaller 3000Mah battery. The other one is S8 + with 6.2 Inch display and larger 3500 mah battery.

On 11th December 2016 Xiaomi announced Mi VR Play on the occasion of Mi POP. Mi POP was fantabulous event for Mi fans and we really enjoyed. Today we are Unboxing the Mi VR Play.
Let’s have a front and rear look of the box. The VR comes in white spartan box like all xiaomi devices. Its says Google cardboard supported, it means it will work with google cardboard app available on Playstore and App store. The Mi VR Play supports android device above Android 4.1 and iOS 8.0.

Inside the box we have the VR itself with the lenses covered under plastic. Unzip the tie and remove all plastic and user manual. The user manual comes with information to setup and a QR code. This code need to be scanned while setting up the cardboard app.

Xiaomi recently been to CES 2017 for the first time ever for new Product launch globally. CES is a global consumer electronics and consumer technology tradeshow that takes place every January in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mi announced 3 new products in Mi eco-system. The one of them is Mi Router HD. Xiaomi Mi Router HD will launch in China in Q1 in two versions, the first will be a1TB version which will be priced under $200 and the second 8TB version will be priced under $500.

Hugo Barra the Vice President for Xiaomi announced that Mi Home has about 5 million daily active users and 50 million connected devices make up the Mi Ecosystem. Barra pointed out that Mi Routers are the central piece in the Internet of Things as they enable users to build their own wireless networks and personal cloud setups. Xiaomi detailed that the new Router HD comes with a 4×4 multi-user MIMO [Multiple In Multiple Out] router which allows up to 2600 Mbps transfer speeds. The router comes with 4 high-gain PCBarray antennas for solid connectivity.

The most important feature of the router is the “surveillance-class” hard drive with capacity up to 8TB. Router HD allows you to automatically back up all the devices at home including Apple Time Machine. It also adds the functionality to sync with Dropbox and keep an offline copy of data on the cloud storage service with itself. Barra also pointed out that the device can integrate with Sonos audio system and the company will add more services soon with software updates.

The quality is significantly of high standards in enterprise grade routers, because they are made to run businesses not home networks. Imagine a Bank network going down because of compromising in quality. If the same happens at your home its not gonna impact anything except your peace of mind. So Mi Router HD is enterprise grade router with great build quality and strong signal stablity for trusted connectivity.

Xiaomi recently launched Redmi Note 4 in India which is a successor to Redmi Note 3. Redmi series is king of budget market and Redmi note 4 is a new addition to it. While many of you guys wondering that what’s the difference between Redmi note 4 and Redmi note 3 and which one should we buy. Its a little bit difficult to select between these so here is comparison of both phones side by side which will help you decide which one to buy.

Here is a tabular breakdown of both phones –

From the above tabular data we can know that Redmi note 4 has more powerful hardware than Redmi note 3. But at the same time Redmi note 3 has more high powered cores and a bit better Graphics than Redmi note 4.
While this little technical changes wont affect day to day performance of Redmi note 4 but it will provide more robust system temperatures and great battery life.While both phones are made of high quality material and feels premiuim as xiaomi tradition. Both phones can run anything you threw at it and comes with advance features like Fingerprint sensor, Ir blaster and rocking MIUI.

The Redmi Note 4 comes with a additional 2.5D Curved glass and tampered edges deliver a more Premium hand feel. Additionally the Sony BSI 13 MP CMOS Sensors provide a great low light camera performance combined with fast focusing PDAF.

My take would be Redmi Note 4 as I like Sony Camera Sensors and amazing battery life without compromising hardware combined with the Robust Premium 2.5D Curved glass and the new Black Matt Colour 🙂

Many of you tech enthusiast people scratching their heads and thinking why xiaomi went with Snapdragon 625 over 650 in the newly announced Redmi Note 4. The Previous Redmi Note 3 was powered with Snapdragon 650- the phone we loved. Redmi Note 3 was a Hit phone with 3.5 Million shipped in 2016. The Folks at Mi india worked really hard and by the feedback they went with this processor. Further we will discuss the Pros and Cons of 625.

The predecessor Redmi Note 3 packed in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC — a processor we ended up absolutely loving. While being built on a 28nm  process, the Snapdragon 650 SoC packed in 4x Cortex-A53 cores for its efficiency needs, and 2x Cortex-A72 cores for performance loads. This combination resulted in a phone package that gave absolutely stunning battery life, and an equally admirable (for its price) real world performance across games and heavy apps.

The Redmi Note 4, on the other hand, seemingly concentrates on improving the battery life from its predecessor. The Redmi Note 4 packs in a 14nm-based Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with FinFET technology, employing 8x Cortex-A53 clocked at 2GHz for all of its efficiency as well as performance needs. The move to a 14nm based SoC with solely Cortex-A53 cores will theoretically improve upon battery life in a noticeable manner. However, one needs to wonder how well the device will perform under strenuous tasks such as gaming. You know performance of the device could be nothing to boast about when Hugo Barra does not mention it on stage at all, choosing to focus instead on “battery performance”. The Adreno 506 complements the SoC in the GPU department, as compared to the Adreno 510 on the Redmi Note 3.
